How do I join?
Simply click ‘Join Now’, select your membership package and complete the online form. In a couple of minutes you’ll be starting a more active lifestyle.
What do I need to join?
Just your bank details and a debit or credit card.
How old do I need to be to join?
To train alone the minimum age is 16 years old. 14 and 15 year olds can join but can only access the club when supervised by a parent. Please ask in club for more information.
I received a referral code when I joined, what is it for?
We know that if you train with a partner you will be more motivated and achieve better results. Your referral code is unique to you and offers a joining discount to your friends and family. If anyone joins using your code you could receive up to 12 months FREE membership as a reward.
Am I tied in to a contract?
At Helio we offer flexible membership packages. All our clubs offer a no contract membership option where you are not tied into a contract. We also know that fitness and health are long-term commitments, so we do offer cheaper membership rates on 6 or 12 month loyalty memberships where you are tied in for the term agreed.
Can I pay cash?
The only cash membership option we offer is for an annual membership which can be purchased online using the promo code Annual18.
What are the conditions around the off-peak package?
OFF PEAK membership package have restricted access between 10.00am – 3.00pm each day. If you’re on this package you will not be allowed to access the club outside of these hours. These are entry times so you can enter up to 3pm.
How does the 14 day money back guarantee work?
Our 14 day money back guarantee is there to give you peace of mind. The guarantee runs for 14 days from the point of joining and if for any reason you feel that you don’t want to continue with your membership just let us know. You will receive a refund of you initial payment minus the number of days that your membership has been live.
Visiting the gym
How do I get in to the gym?
You will be issued with your personal membership card on your first visit to Helio Fitness. The only way you can access the club is to swipe your membership card at the turnstiles. Your membership card is yours and must not be shared with anyone else.
Facilities & equipment
What are your opening hours?
The opening hours vary by club. Please refer to the respective web page for each club for up-to-date opening times.
Will there be someone to help me in the gym and show me how to use the equipment?
All new members can book in for a free induction that will build your confidence and set you off on the right path. Our inductions are held on a small group basis and geared towards your past exercise experience. Inductions are not compulsory.
Will personal training be available?
Yes, personal training is available at participating clubs at an affordable cost. Please speak to individual trainers for pricing.
What equipment will you have?
Our clubs have a fantastic range with plenty of cardio, resistance, free weights and functional equipment.
Do you have classes and do i need to book?
Yes, we offer a fantastic selection of classes at participating clubs including Les Mills BodyPump and BodyCombat, Spin and Metafit to name a few. All classes are included in all membership packages. All classes are booked through our online member zone.
Do you have car parking?
All of our clubs have plenty FREE parking spaces for your convenience.
Are there changing facilities?
All clubs have spacious changing facilities with secure lockers, private showers and toilet facilities.
Do you have to pay for lockers?
No, our lockers operate with either a padlock (available to purchase in participating clubs) or a token. You will be informed on this in your Welcome Email.
Do you have water fountains?
Unlike other budget operators we take hydration seriously. All our clubs have FREE to use filtered and cooled water fountains. Just bring your drinks bottle and fill it up.
Is there a notice period to cancel my membership?
If you pay your membership by direct debit we ask that you give us 14 days notice so we can cancel your direct debit instruction. If the notice you give us is less than 14 days from your next due direct debit payment then we will collect this as normal.
Who do I contact to cancel my membership?
If you pay your membership by direct debit please contact our finance partners, Harlands, on 01444 449024 and they will manage the cancellation of your membership. If you pay by any other means your membership will cancel at it’s expiry date.
